Thanksgiving Break

We had a wonderful time having Aaron home with us to play all week.  We did a lot of running errands, eating and cooking lots of yummy treats, we feasted on the most delicious Thanksgiving dinner hosted by our amazing friends The Hansens, we attended the Homestead Fair, went to the park, watched movies, decorated for Christmas and relaxed. I can't believe it's already over! Here are a few pictures from our week...

I heart Photobooth

Aaron and Aubrie went to pick up a stranded friend so Luke and I busted out Photo Booth...
His shirt says Rad like Dad... we think dad is pretty rad...
So serious and not so sure about what is happening...
He clearly wanted nothing to do with this one. New hairstyle?! Is it me?!!
...then decided that it would be okay cause this was just silly...
...Aaron and Aubrie got home and it became a full blown Photo Booth party over here...
...so me and my girl decided to take some pictures...
...then something else caught her attention (that happens when you're a toddler you know)...
The End.

Smiles and other randoms

No picture to prove it, but Luke smiles now when we talk to him. Melt.My.Heart. He is also sleeping a lot less and can pretty much recite his ABC's on command. jk.

The other night Aaron was shaving his face and he sneezed twice and Aubrie said, "Daddy, are you achoooing?!!"

She also loves to talk about "scientific fairy research." One of her current favorite movies is Tinkerbell-The Great Fairy Rescue and they say that phrase in it so she will randomly be coloring or painting or doing whatever and she will bust out with her cute little phrases.

Some other funny Aubrie-isms:
"Oh my geez"
"Oh my goodness"
"That is incredible" A lady stopped me in the store when she heard Aubrie say this- she thought she sounded older than 2- if she only knew that she got that from TV! Ha! Disclaimer: I swear she doesn't watch that much... just while i'm feeding the baby... we really do get out a lot... and play with toys alot (with the TV turned off!)!!
"Thank you so very much"
"Is Lukiewake?" translation- "is Luke awake?"
"I'm okay!" she says this anytime she falls down, trips on something or hurts herself.. before we even have time to ask if she's okay.
"That's crazy!"
"There... that's so much better." When she fixes something/puts something where it's supposed to go (ie-pillow on bed, bandaid on tummy)

Due to her dairy allergy if she ever sees anything like cheese, milk or yogurt she will ask, "Will that hurt my tummy?" or she tells us that it will hurt her tummy.

Before bedtime Aubrie will do anything for a little bit more time... a few things she says now on her way into her crib...
"but i'm so hungry (while rubbing her tummy)"
"i need to go potty"
"can I have a snack?"
"lay down!!"

If anything hurts for even a second she needs a bandaid on it.  When Luke had a clogged tear duct she wanted to put a bandaid on his eye.  He was crying because of a tummyache and she wanted to put a bandaid on his tummy.  Aaron said something about his back hurting so she put a bandaid on it.  Also, all bruises require bandaids.  If you need a bandaid come on by, we currently have Dora and Hello Kitty!

She thinks mustaches are so funny! She makes mustaches with different things she finds like a candy wrapper or something like it and says, "Look at my MOOSEtache!" Then she cracks up at herself.

Just tried getting her to follow me to put her down for her nap and she said, "Listen to me, I'm busy!" Ahhhh! What have we gotten ourselves into?!!!!!!
I think we'll keep em!

Matchy Match

Thematchingtieguy.com had a sweet deal going on on babyhalfoff.com about a month before Luke was born.  When we saw these matching ties I couldn't resist buying them for my guys! Luke finally fits into his 0-3 month clothes (as of last night) and so we got him all snazzy for church today.  Here are my fine men...
I am one lucky girl!
...and one of the family... for good measure!
Don't mind my tired eyes... i'm still trying to catch up on sleep!
Oh and I am CHOPPING my hair sometime this week... if I could get a call back from the hair lady... don't look at those NASTY ends- k-thanks.

Luke- One Month Old

He is now a month and a week, but we've been keeping busy so I haven't had much extra time to blog. Luke is growing like a weed and I can hardly remember him being teeny tiny (even though he still curls up like a little bean bag and he is still pretty much itty bitty-I love it!)! He is so cute and still sleeping a lot (I think that's why he is growing so much!).  He does stay awake more than before and graces us with his sweet smiles and little sounds here and there. He will not have a one month appointment, but I will update his stats after his 2 month appointment! We are all in love with this little man and can't get enough of him!

At one month little Luke...
-is still in newborn clothing but is quickly getting too long for them.
-is wearing size one diapers.
-likes his binky.
-loves being held and cuddled.
-has gotten his chunky cheeks.
-still has all the hair he was born with and is growing more every day!
-can hold his head up for a good minute or two before getting tired.  He has a very strong neck.
-has been out and about every day since his birth (with the exception of maybe 4 days!).
-has been to church twice.
-is a ladies man! Ha!
We are all smitten over here.
