Our little man

Last week Luke had his second doctors appointment.  His first was at 3 days old (we had to get his bilirubin count checked since we were released from the hospital early- and it was perfect!) and so we went in at exactly a week because I was suspicious that he had a clogged tear duct on his right eye- I was right!- and we got that taken care of...

At his 3 day appt. he weighed 6lbs. 13oz. which is what he weighed when we were released from the hospital and at one week he was back up to 7lbs 2 oz. -his birth weight. Wahooooooo! He is so tiny though... it's crazy how you forget how small they are when they come.  Today he even fit into a cute preemie outfit that one of Aaron's patients gave him.

Grammie has been such a great help! She actually changed his diaper for the first time today and got peed on! Haha! A little gift from her grandson!

I am sure you noticed the socks on his hands in every picture... his mittens just fall off every time so the pediatrician recommended socks when we were in the hospital... she said to wait at least 2 weeks to clip his nails... thank goodness he is 2 weeks old tomorrow!

He is really the sweetest baby.  He sleeps a ton though.  I don't think Aubrie slept this much, but I can hardly remember.  I have to wake him up (which takes some major effort) to feed him a lot of the time.  He hardly cries at all.  He smiles all the time, though I'm sure it's not on purpose we enjoy it!

Luke's 2 week appt. is @ 9:15am tomorrow so I will let you know how our little man measures up soon!
