Swimming Lessons

This little girl has been so excited for swimming since she saw the Elmo swim diapers in her closet and kept calling them her "suit."
I think she started to 'get it' a little more after we talked about how she would be 'kicking' and 'blowing bubbles' in the big swimming pool with all of her friends she couldn't have been happier!
Here she is getting her swim bag all ready to go.
Swim diaper- check
Bathing Suit- check
Towel for Aubrie and for daddy- check
hair clips- check
new diaper- check
change of clothes- check
Here she is climbing up on a ledge to jump off into Aaron's arms.
In case it was hard to tell from her expression, she was happy about jumping in.
Loving her little swim backpack.
It's a little floatie thing, but I don't really get it cause if Aaron wasn't holding her up her face would be straight down in the water, but she seemed to like it!
This was her fourth swim class.  Her first class I swam with her because Aaron had class late, and she did just fine.  She was timid, but after a few minutes she started to say "all done" every few minutes. She still did all the things the instructor asked, but she was ready to get out as soon as she was allowed.  She never cried or fussed though.
Aaron has been able to swim with her the last three classes and the first two that he swam with her she pretty much wanted to get out the whole time, but never cried.  She just wasn't interested in doing what the instructor wanted them to do (She pretty much didn't like getting her face in the water). She would still jump though and anytime that she was facing all her friends she really liked it! This last class was her best by far.  She loved every minute of it and Aaron loved it too because she was having so much fun.  I swear she went under water like fifty times, but Aaron said she didn't even notice.  She had so much fun and didn't want to get out at the end, so we let her play with her buddies by the stairs.  It was so cute!
She talks about swimming every day and we have to tell her it is going to be a few more days til she swims again.
I am so glad she is a fan! :)

Oh, swimming classes are so fun. We did it with Sarah, but we didn't swim with her. Just her, her friend, Kylee, and their instructor. It was so fun to watch, but so frustrating when she wouldn't do ANYTHING the instructor said. She just wanted to get out.

She looks so so happy!! Great job! I love her little upper-lip sucked in as she musters her baby fat up onto the ledge. SOOO determined. Adorable!!
