Before going I knew that my membership had just expired in the end of June and that I would need to renew as soon as I went back in. $50, blah! That was fine though. So, I ordered some photos online Saturday night and to my surprise they said they wouldn't be available until Wednesday at noon! What??!!! I always thought that it was same day or even 24 hours. Still not a big deal. So I get to Costco and of course I go straight to the photo stand to see how the pics turned out and some of them looked like the photo paper was burnt on the corner. It was really weird. Of course I didn't say anything cause I can just cut it off, but what the heck?! Next, I am looking for the individually wrapped pieces of frozen chicken breasts that I have been buying religiously for over 2 years and they were nowhere to be found! Weird. Well I found some unindividually (<--- not a word?!!) wrapped ones and just bought those. So it wasn't too bad of a trip, just not your average exciting visit to Costco... UNTIL I found Aaron's favorite Ranier Cherries and they weren't too expensive either!! Last night I almost convinced him that they probably wouldn't be there when I went today and to my surprise they were! Hooray! Okay so I know this post is so random, but there is somewhat a point to it. I haven't made it clear at all yet though! :)
So the pictures that I went to pick up at Costco are "Happy Birthday Aubrie" announcement photo card thingies. Is that weird that I made them for her 1st birthday?? Here is my reasoning behind it...
I was that lame, overwhelmed, tired, first time mom that totally never sent out birth announcements, and I feel guilty about it all the time! At the same time I realize that it is probably a little weird that I would be sending out 1st birthday announcements. I would normally be sending out little birthday invitations to her 1st birthday party, but since we moved and nobody would be able to attend anyway I thought this might be cuter. Is that weird?! What do you think?

you are too funny. first of all, i buy the unwrapped chicken only. i bought the wraped chicken for awhile but it was so annoying to unwrap and the chicken seemed to be more vainy. anyway, the funny thing is that i went to buy some chicken one week and they only had the ind. wrapped kind so i refused to buy and wait for the other kind to show up. i kept going back for a few weeks and finally my beloved unwrapped chicken was back! (i did end up having to buy one bag of wraped- i needed chicken!)
second, i think the announcement idea is cute. i too did not send out announcements for welles. the worst part about that is that i did send them out for jack. i am a horrible mother and have truly felt guilty about it ever since! i would love an announcement. do you have my address?

Ash, you are absolutely adorable for sending out 1st birthday announcements! Like you said, overwhelmed new moms don't have time to fuss over birth announcements! I love "stalking" your blog and seeing how your sweet punkin is growing up. I hope one day we can meet her!
