We witnessed the craziest storm the other night. We were leaving dinner at Olive Garden and all of a sudden the rain started pouring down out of nowhere. It reminded me of Forrest Gump when they were on the fishing boat and the rain came in sideways! Also, the freeways all have these crazy drains so when you drive under them, as we did on our way home, it looked like waterfalls were coming down from the freeways! Craziness. There was nonstop lightning and thunder all night and the next morning! It was all pretty much as a result of a tornado that hit at Point"A" on the map! Don't worry we are at Point "B"... and we are all okay!
A little too close for comfort though!! Eeeek!

Storms are exciting and scary all at the same time. Scary about the tornado. I'm glad you guys are okay.

You guys need to get a weather radio...it is my favorite thing for midwest living...I like the Midland brand because you can program it for your county and those around you...it goes off automatically when there is a watch, warning or advisory from the national weather service. SO next time you have a storm, (and trust me, you will), it will go off and tell you you are in a severe weather watch or a tornado warning....they are absolutely fantastic.
